TERMITE TREATMENT:
Termites are the pre historic creatures which came in to existence on earth 250 Million year whereas man made his appearance 10 million years ago. Termites are called hidden invaders for a good reason. There will be wide variety of signs which indicates their presence, and with diligent inspections you may be able to tell if you have an infestation and catch it before a huge amount of damage is done. Their population is so large that we can only manage them by protecting our property which we can achieve with our SGP control methods.
How do you know if you have termites?
As Termites mostly live underground and in the walls of your home, you are unlikely to see the termites themselves. But we can identify the presence of termites by looking at the below mentioned signs:
1. Termite droppings, which look like small, ridged, wood-colored pellets.
2. Mud tubes on exterior layer on the ground.
3. Wings all of the same size (look like tiny fish scales) shredded near an entry point to your home.
If you are planning to construct a new house or for building your office, termite control is the first thing you should think of. We use highly professional and advanced techniques for treating the termite infestation problem. Pre-Construction Treatment plays a vital role in eradicating termite problem from initial stage itself. To overcome termite problems in future as a precautionary step, direct liquid treatments are applied to the outside, inside and also in the foundation. Direct injection of liquid pesticide in areas like the foundation, within the foundation walls and also areas under the concrete slabs makes the property long lasting.
1. Sides and bottom surface of the foundation trenches and pits should be treated with chemical to a height of about 30cm from surface area.
2. Backfill earth on each side of all built up walls should be treated with chemical at the rate of 7.5Lit. per linear meter of vertical surface of the structure, to a depth of 45cm and width of 15cm. The chemical shall be directed towards the masonry surfaces so that earth in contact with these surfaces is well treated with the chemical.
3. Top Surface of the consolidated earth within plinth walls should be treated with chemical at the rate of 5lit. per square meter before laying the floor. We need to make sure that back fill against foundation is treated to its full depth.
4. Make sure that there is no destruction to the barriers in the later part of construction, as these will lead to untreated gaps
a) By exposing the foundation wall a Shovel width trench of about 50cm depth will be made close to the external wall if there is a loose soil found around the walls of the building.
b) Holes are drilled as close as possible to the plinth wall about 300m apart from each other, if there is any concrete cover or masonry apron around the walls of the building.
c) Insecticides are then sent into those holes, so that on reaching the underground soil layer all the existing termites will be eliminated and also it stops them from re-infesting.
d) In the same manner holes are drilled around the pillars and insecticides are poured into the soil if the balding is on pillars.
e) Wooden portions of the building are treated further on all the floors and wood work areas like doors, windows etc.. Which are easily capable of termite attack are also protected using this process.
1.Eradicate the collection of moisture by fixing pipes, A/C units, and other home fixtures prone to leaking.
2.Ensure drainage sites remain clean and effective.
3.Keep plants and gardens well maintained.
4.Store firewood away from the home.
5.Get rid of excess wood like tree stumps or yard debris.
6.Install appropriately sized screens on exterior vents.
7.Monitor outdoor wooden structures for signs of infestation.
8.Avoid moisture across the sides of your home
